Privacy Policy

Last Updated: March 15, 2025

AppWisePlay respects your privacy. We're a financial analysis company based in Thailand, and we know how important your data is when you're making business decisions.

This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We've written it in plain language because privacy policies shouldn't require a law degree to understand.

Information We Collect

When you use our financial analysis services, we collect different types of information depending on how you interact with us.

Information You Give Us Directly

This includes data you provide when creating an account, requesting analysis, or contacting our team:

  • Name and company details
  • Email address and phone number
  • Business financial data you upload for analysis
  • Payment information when purchasing services
  • Messages you send through our contact forms

Information We Collect Automatically

Our systems automatically log certain information when you visit our website:

  • IP address and general location data
  • Browser type and device information
  • Pages you visit and time spent on our site
  • Referring website or search terms used
  • Technical data about how you interact with our platform

How We Use Your Information

We're not in the business of selling your data. Everything we collect serves a specific purpose related to providing better financial analysis services.

Primary Uses: We use your information to deliver the financial analysis services you've requested, process your payments, and communicate with you about your account.

More specifically, we use your data to:

  • Generate customized financial reports and business insights
  • Improve our analysis algorithms and service quality
  • Send important updates about your account or services
  • Respond to your questions and support requests
  • Prevent fraud and maintain platform security
  • Comply with Thai legal and regulatory requirements

We occasionally send emails about new features or services, but you can opt out anytime. Account-related emails (like security alerts) can't be disabled because they're essential to service operation.

Data Storage and Protection

Your financial data deserves serious protection. We store information on secure servers with multiple layers of security.

Security Measures

  • Industry-standard encryption for data transmission and storage
  • Regular security audits and vulnerability testing
  • Access controls limiting who can view your data internally
  • Automated backup systems with encrypted storage
  • Monitoring systems to detect unauthorized access attempts

That said, no system is completely invulnerable. We do our best to protect your information, but we can't guarantee absolute security. If we detect a breach affecting your data, we'll notify you promptly as required by Thai law.

Where Your Data Lives

Our primary servers are located in Thailand. Some services (like cloud backup systems) may store copies of data outside Thailand, but only with providers meeting international security standards equivalent to Thai Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) requirements.

Sharing Your Information

We don't sell your personal information to third parties. Period. But we do share data in specific circumstances:

Who We Share With What We Share Why We Share It
Payment Processors Transaction details, billing information To process your payments securely
Cloud Service Providers Encrypted data backups For reliable data storage and recovery
Analytics Services Anonymized usage patterns To understand how our platform is used
Legal Authorities Data required by valid legal process When legally obligated to comply

All third-party service providers sign agreements requiring them to protect your data and use it only for specified purposes. We vet partners carefully before sharing any information.

Your Rights Under Thai Law

Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act gives you substantial control over your information. Here's what you can do:

Access and Portability

You can request a copy of all personal data we hold about you. We'll provide it in a commonly used format within 30 days. There's no fee unless your request is clearly excessive or repetitive.

Correction and Updates

Found something wrong in your data? You can update most information directly through your account dashboard. For data you can't change yourself, contact us and we'll make corrections within 30 days.

Deletion Requests

You can ask us to delete your personal information. We'll comply unless we have a legitimate reason to retain it (like completing a financial analysis you've paid for, or complying with legal obligations). Even after deletion, some anonymized data may remain in backup systems temporarily.

How to Exercise Your Rights: Email [email protected] with your request. We'll verify your identity and respond within the timeframes required by Thai law.

Objection and Restriction

You can object to certain types of data processing or ask us to restrict how we use your information. We'll honor reasonable requests unless we have compelling grounds to continue processing.

Data Retention Periods

We don't keep your data forever. Different types of information have different retention schedules based on business needs and legal requirements.

  • Account Information: Retained while your account is active, plus 3 years after closure for legal compliance
  • Financial Analysis Data: Kept for 7 years to comply with Thai accounting and tax regulations
  • Communication Records: Stored for 2 years to maintain service quality and resolve disputes
  • Website Usage Logs: Automatically deleted after 18 months unless needed for security investigations
  • Marketing Data: Removed within 30 days of opting out of communications

After retention periods expire, we securely delete or anonymize data so it can no longer identify you.

Cookies and Tracking

Our website uses cookies. These are small text files stored on your device that help the site remember your preferences and understand how you use our services.

Types of Cookies We Use

  • Essential Cookies: Required for basic site functionality like logging in. Can't be disabled.
  • Performance Cookies: Help us understand which pages are popular and identify technical issues.
  • Functional Cookies: Remember your preferences like language or dashboard layout.

You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may limit site functionality. We don't use advertising cookies or share cookie data with advertising networks.

International Data Transfers

While our operations are based in Thailand, some technical service providers operate servers in other countries. When we transfer data internationally, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place.

These safeguards include:

  • Standard contractual clauses approved by Thai data protection authorities
  • Verification that receiving countries have adequate data protection laws
  • Additional encryption for data crossing borders
  • Regular compliance audits of international partners

Children's Privacy

Our services aren't designed for children under 18. We don't knowingly collect information from minors. If you're a parent who believes your child has provided us with personal information, contact us immediately and we'll delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We update this policy occasionally to reflect service changes or new legal requirements. When we make significant changes, we'll notify you by email or through a prominent notice on our website at least 30 days before changes take effect.

The "Last Updated" date at the top shows when we last modified this policy. Continued use of our services after changes become effective means you accept the updated policy.

Complaints and Disputes

If you're unhappy with how we handle your personal data, please contact us first so we can try to resolve the issue. Most concerns can be addressed through direct communication.

If you're not satisfied with our response, you have the right to file a complaint with Thailand's Personal Data Protection Committee. You can also seek remedies through Thai courts if you believe we've violated your data protection rights.
